Guam - Come Christmas, the Guam Education Board may have selected the new superintendent for the Department of Education. According to GEB member Barry Mead, the board met Thursday morning to fine tune glitches from last month's failed attempt to select a DOE superintendent.
He told KUAM News, "We have a first-time ever real board policy on how to guide the board in the selection process for the superintendent."
Mead says the superintendent search is scheduled to restart this month. He adds the board may still use secret ballot voting on the condition that the results are made public immediately after. Mead is proud of the progress the GEB has made to move forward in selecting the head of DOE.
