Guam - Starting Friday, expect some rumbling in the skies over Northern Guam. According to Andersen Air Force Base Public Affairs Office 20 fighter jets from Marine Corps Air Station Iwakini will be conducting military training exercises here.

The training lasts through October 31 and involves approximately 400 personnel. Japanese media report however the training was actually supposed to be held at Kadena Air Base in Okinawa, but was moved to Guam because of noise concerns there.

Japan reportedly will pay 75 percent of the expenses incurred by U.S. forces - such as fuel costs-to conduct such training exercises in Guam instead of in Okinawa.
