Guam - Several military families convoyed to Dededo this weekend to donate dozens of items to the family that lost their home after it caught fire in Mongmong. The Guam Fire Department has not determined the cause of the blaze, but the community is stepping in to help get the family back on its feet.

Military families through Facebook gathered refrigerators, beds, TVs and other furniture and appliances for the family. Resident Amy Toves said, "I really appreciate these people here now from the Navy and I really thank Frank Cable and Oklahoma, they really donated a lot to my family."

Also making a generous donation to the Cruz-Santos family were several high school students and interns from Speaker Judi Won Pat's office. The group on Sunday delivered several items such as canned goods, toiletries, clothes, cookware, electronic devices and an assortment of school supplies.
