Guam - The Department of Corrections can close the books on the overtime owed for Fiscal Year 2010. DepCor Spokesperson Lt. Antone Aguon says the department got $760,000 this week, which pays off the overdue obligation to their officers.

Aguon says the department appreciates the efforts prompted by Senator Mana Silva Taijeron and the governor's staff to get this money paid out.

In the meantime, the department has racked up some $1.3 million in overtime, as well as night differential and hazardous pay. Aguon says they are working to have the funds secured and paid out by Christmas.
