Guam - The three branches of government are coming together to put a stop to bullying. This Monday GovGuam officials will recognize National Bullying Prevention Month.

Throughout the month events will be held to discuss bullying prevention for parents, students, school personnel and youth service providers. Supreme Court Chamber Administrator Joleen Respicio said, "Bullies are three times more likely to enter into or have three or more criminal convictions by age 24; it's something that we need to dress holistically as a community because it spills over outside the classrooms outside and beyond the school yard into our homes."

A proclamation signing honoring Bullying Prevention Month will be held Monday at the Supreme Court in Hagatna at 11am. DOE and the Judiciary will also host a conference on October 25-27. This year's theme is "BASTA: Bullying Affects Students, Teachers And All."
