Guam - Several military families on Guam worked with the community to collect donations for the family in Mongmong who lost everything after their home caught fire last week. Amy Jackson is with the U.S. Navy and was able to gather furniture, clothes, hygiene products, food and even a refrigerator for the family all through Facebook.
"We recently did a trip to the Philippines and did a lot of community service with them, and I am raised in Guam and also in the military, so it's to be able to help our local community and represent the military in one is cool," she explained.
Jackson says they will be bringing the donations to the family tomorrow at their new home in Dededo.
