Guam - Acting Governor Ray Tenorio signed Bill 94, which implements the Career Information Delivery System Pilot Program in the Department of Education middle and high schools. Freshman Senator Sam Mabini says her bill is one of the reasons why she ran for senator to find ways to help students be better prepared to enter the workforce by starting earlier than high school.

"As many of us know, that when students get into high school, even at that point, they may not be sure what programs are out there, so we're looking at ways to help them be better prepared at a early grade level," she explained.

The acting governor also signed Bill 234, which adds the Department of Agriculture as one of the agencies authorized for approval of a clearing and grading permit. Mabini adds that while the recently introduced Bill 317, which would require drug testing for recipients under public assistance has received some concern from the community, she has also garnered some overwhelming support as well and is looking forward to the public hearing and improving the legislation.
