Guam – Rescue personnel were called to Ritidian point this afternoon to respond to two distressed swimmers. Guam Fire Department spokesperson Lt. Phil Camacho says people on shore spotted the pair in distress, and ran to the wildlife refuge office to make a 911 call to the Navy. He says GFD and GPD personnel as well as the Coast guard and Andersen air force base personnel were activated to the scene. He adds around 2:07pm one of the male swimmers was picked up by Navy HC-5, while a GFD rescue boat picked the other up. He says both men suffered from exhaustion, but were unharmed.
