Guam - A man who admitted to participating in a conspiracy to purchase and distribute crystal methamphetamine has been allowed to leave Guam as his co-defendants are set to be tried next month. Cory Bond recently entered into a plea agreement pleading guilty to conspiracy to distribute more than 50 grams of the drug Ice.

The 25-year-old told authorities that he would mail and receive packages of cash and sometimes small quantities of Ice with co-defendant Brian San Agustin. It's alleged the two would buy a pound of the drug in California and sell it on Guam for more than $59,000.  Federal authorities intercepted two packages that were sent to addresses in the states containing tens of thousands of dollars in cash hidden in Easter baskets and a box of cookies.

Bond's plea agreement was filed under seal, where the public could not see it, because of concerns for his safety. At the request of the defense and government, bond was released on his own recognizance and allowed to leave Guam for his own safety. He is scheduled to appear back in court for a status hearing on December 19.  San Agustin and co-defendant, Paul Nelson Perez are scheduled to go to trial on October 27.
