Guam - Some financial assistance may also be coming soon for the Guam Fire Department, as firefighters have started training on the new E-911 billing system. Captain Joe Terlaje says an off-island representative from Life Quest is conducting the training that he says is long overdue. He says fire personnel are learning how to document ambulance transport billings.

"It's going to help us in getting some funds that we need because right now we are in a dire situation with our ambulances and so we want can get some money and put it back in the system, get some ambulances, get the training for our personnel, we could get the equipment that we're lacking right now," he said.

He says training will continue in October, and full implementation of the E-911 billing system will begin November 1.
