Guam - St. John's School students along with interns with the Public Policy Institute Internship Program in Speaker Judi Won Pat's Office are spearheading a humanitarian effort to help last week's house fire victims. A family of ten lost everything they owned, with intern Audell Sabeti telling KUAM News, "We felt somewhat sympathetic to the family so we decided to collect a variety of canned goods and our fellow interns helped out."

Andrew Orsini, speaker for the Guam Youth Congress and a UOG student, said, "We've come together to help the family in Toto because of this unfortunate event that's happened its woven into our culture to help these people out it's a part of us and this is the reason why we put this food drive together

Donations of basic necessities such as canned goods, clothing, household items, toiletries, pots and kitchen utensils are being accepted at Speaker Won Pat's office in the Legislative Building in Hagatna.
