Guam - The Guam Environmental Protection Agency wants the public to comment on three upcoming permits. According to Guam EPA spokesperson Tammy Jo Anderson Taft, from now through November 8 the public can comment on permits for landscape management systems, northern hardfill, and the Guam Memorial Hospital.

She explained, "The public commenting period for permits is very important because it gives the public an option to look at proposed operations for facilities and voice their opinions and voice their concerns voice that to the administrator who will take it all into consideration…our goal is to protect the environment and that includes people and so all these permits go through a lot of scrutiny and we want the public to also scrutinize."

Taft says if a permit receives enough public interest, the administrator can call a public hearing. To view the documents, call the Guam EPA at 475-1658/9.
