Man confined for alleged assault and child abuse

Guam - A 22 year old man was arrested Wednesday evening after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend. According to the magistrate's complaint, Teddy Jay Gonzales allegedly slapped the victim on her face, as she was holding their two-year-old daughter. Documents state he continued to slap her, as the victim moved the child to keep her from getting hit. After the child was put in the room, court documents state Gonzalez allegedly kicked and punched her leg several times. Police observed a cut above the victim's left eye, scratches to her face, a cut to her earlobe and redness to her leg. He was placed behind bars on charges of family violence, assault and child abuse.
