Guam – The Department of Corrections got another portion of its overdue payments in overtime for fiscal year 2010. DepCor spokesperson Lt. Antone Aguon says correctional officers were paid out $230,000 in overtime by the Department of Corrections on Friday. He says the payment also goes towards money owed to officers for night differential and hazard pay.

As we reported, the governor ordered DOA to make the payments made this week following numerous concerns from the legislature. As a result, a $142,000 OT payment was made to DepCor. Aguon says the department is still owed about $1 million in OT for the previous fiscal year.
