Public warned about hand-foot & mouth disease

Health officials have seen a spike in this disease in countries like China, Singapore and Vietnam that are associated with a number of deaths.

Guam - Public Health has recorded six cases of hand-foot and mouth disease this year alone. Health officials have seen a spike in this disease in countries like China, Singapore and Vietnam that are associated with a number of deaths.

While no fatalities were reported locally, Public Health is urging parents, especially daycare staff to lookout for the symptoms, which include fever, sore throat, painful, red sores on the tongue, gums or cheeks, or rashes on hands and feet.
