Guam - The Guam Developmental Disabilities Council will hold its annual Guam Disability Health Conference tomorrow morning. The conference is part of the council fulfilling its requirement to inform individuals with disabilities on health services in the community.

Executive director Roseanne Ada tells KUAM News that health information is one of the biggest barriers that individuals with disabilities face. "It's actually to keep the consumers, people with disabilities and their parents and advocates and get them acquainted with the medical professionals so they can know one another and know the latest in healthcare," she said.

Guest speakers include psychiatrists, physical therapists and physicians. She adds along with health information, the conference will also cover the latest in employment and transportation relating to individuals with disabilities. The conference is free and starts from nine in the morning to three in the afternoon at the Guam Marriott Resort and Spa.
