Navy hosting public meeting tonight
Guam - The Navy is holding its final public scoping meeting in Guam tonight to gathering public input and concerns about its plans to prepare an environmental impact statements on the military's proposed plans to conduct training and testing activities that would include use of new weapons, and the use of active sonar and explosives in the Mariana Islands Training and Testing or MITT study area. The MITT encompasses waters around Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands and the Marianas Trench Marine National Monument. Tonight's public scoping meeting gets underway at 5:00pm in Southern High School's Cafeteria, it wraps up at 8 o'clock tonight. The last day to submit a comment is on November 7th.
