Guam - The Guam Memorial Hospital has one more piece of equipment thanks to a donation from the Guam Hospital and Healthcare Foundation Board. According to Foundation member Gina Ramos, the ultrasound piece is their way of improving the quality of the island's healthcare.

"The mission of the Foundation is to improve healthcare on Guam," she explained, "and we are very cognizant of the fact that we have one civilian hospital here on Guam and we're here to support them in any way that we can."

The ultrasound piece costs more than $12,000. The Guam Hospital and Healthcare Foundation Board is working to collaborate with other non-profit groups to obtain more ultrasound equipment for the ICU and ER.
