Guam - Senator Aline Yamashita has introduced Bill 311, which will provide the University of Guam and the Guam Community College needed funding for general operations. The amount of funding has yet to be determined but will come from medical loss ratio funds, otherwise known as the Section 2718 Fund Bill.

Bill 311 is a companion bill to Bill 308 authored by Senator Ben Pangelinan and Speaker Judi Won Pat, which appropriates $1.3 million to UOG. Senator Yamashita pushes Bill 311 in hopes of continuing to keep higher education both a natural and affordable choice for the island's students.
