Guam - The University of Guam Field House will be playing host to the Cirque Shanghai beginning tomorrow evening. Cirque Shanghai is a talented group of 20 acrobats, contortionists, jugglers and other performers from ages 12-27 who are on Guam, ready to put on an exciting show.

UOG Endowment Foundation executive director Mark Mendiola says they wanted to bring in a family fun event, and according to show director Maiomaio Chen, it is ideal for all ages. "You'll see acts that you won't see anywhere else or in any other shows, and this is the only Chinese acrobat show that will be making it's way to Broadway after Guam," he said.

Prior to arriving on Guam, Cirque Shanghai spent time in Chicago and Las Vegas. Chen says there is more in store than just you're typical acrobat show, saying, "The audience will also have a chance to meet after the show, meet and greet and get personal with pictures and ask questions...everyone come to the show, you'll have lots of fun and a good memory."

Proceeds will go to benefit the UOG Endowment Foundation and its efforts to prepare for a big milestone. "Next year is our 60th anniversary, so the funds that are generated from these types of activities go to support the projects during the 60th anniversary," said Mendiola.

He said it is with the generous support from various business partners that made this show possible. "Bank of Guam, Calvo's Enterprises, Calvo's Insurance, DOCOMO Pacific, Coast 360, MCV Broadband, Tan Holdings, Seabridge, the stations of KUAM, Bank of Hawaii, Marianas Variety, and PDN.
