Guam - The two finalists in the running to take over as Superintendent of the Department of Education failed to garner enough votes by members of the Guam Education Board. During this morning's meeting members voted via written ballot. When the results were read neither Salvador Avilla nor Vince Leon Guerrero managed to garner the six votes needed. The GEB then decided to allow Taling Taitano to continue serving as the Interim Superintendent indefinitely. The Superintendent position has been vacant since the end of July when Nerissa Bretania Underwood's contract expired.
