Guam - Once lawmakers settle the problems with the bond law, the sooner residents who are owed a tax refund can get their check. And hopefully put an end to a class action lawsuit from proceeding in the District Court of Guam. Rea and Jeffrey Paeste along with Sharon and Glenn Zapatana are suing to have all past due tax refunds paid.

In court today the parties agreed to extend the deadlines for the discovery cut-off date and the discovery motion deadline to October 21. The government's opposition to the motion to certify the class is due October 4 with the plaintiff's response due on October 18. A second preliminary pre-trial conference is scheduled for December 6.

GovGuam has filed a motion to dismiss the case, while the plaintiff's oppose.
