Guam – A high turnout at the Guam Community College's annual fall festival with exactly 700 participants casting their votes for the new student trustee for the GCC board of trustees. Center for student involvement program specialist Bobbie Leon Guerrero states, "It means more students are taking an interest not only in their education, but in their educational institution as well. As they learn more about what GCC has to offer them in the way of student organizations and service learning, more and more of our students are choosing to get involved. It's a good sign that they'll do the same when they graduate and join the workforce."

The Fall Festival introduces students to GCC's 15 student organizations. The results of the election will be released once certified by the board during their October meeting.
