Guam - The Guam Memorial Hospital received an unannounced survey by the Joint Commission late last month. According to hospital administrator Rey Vega, GMH was cited mainly for practice patterns and hospital policies and staff are still reviewing the Joint Commission's exit summary.

"We've gone through several surveys CMA FDA Joint Commission this is just the best time to get our acts together," he said.

Vega says the two surveyors from the Joint Commission left the hospital on a good note and that their unannounced visit won't affect accreditation. Vega says the people of Guam can still rely on the hospital for service.
