Guam - Drivers who commute along Cross-Island Road can rejoice as the project is coming to a close. According to Department of Public Works deputy director Carl Dominguez, the completion of the project is behind schedule but work will soon progress due to an approved base course formula.
"I predict the contractor on that cross island road project will be able to start paving it if not the last week of September the first week of October," he said.
Dominguez asks that drivers be careful along road construction. DPW is scheduled to meet with federal highway consultants on September 23 to update the island's four-year Territorial Transportation Improvement Program project.
