Guam - The Guam Environmental Protection Agency continues to monitor the remediation of the illegal dump at Lujan's Salvage and Junk Yard in Mongmong. According to a project status report filed with the District Court, work at the dump site has been delayed because of the rainy weather.

The company has until September 27 to complete topographic and boundary surveys. The company has hired Willy Flores and associates to assist with the remediation. Flores reported that the boundary survey will begin when the weather permits and reinforcement of the top diesel tank was put in place but was disapproved by an engineer so it has to be redone.

Additionally, Lujan's personnel are working to collect proper documentation including inventory of the paints and sealants.
