Sanchez High hit by vandals
by Krystal Paco
Guam - Less than 48 hours after a roundtable discussion about school security, Simon Sanchez High School was ransacked. Vandals broke into the main office, business office and teachers lounge. Last year the Yigo campus was broken into a total of five times.
Since school started in August, this break-in marks number two. Principal Beth Perez told KUAM News, "We just came from a shutdown our students were very energetic to start the school year and when that first break-in occurred, it really dampened the spirits. So this time around we're trying to make it through the month without another break-in, so I think it bothers our students, faculty, and our parents as well."
Perez is pleading with the community, so if you have any information about what happened to call Guam Crime Stoppers at 477-HELP (4357).
