Guam - The University of Guam Center for Island Sustainability is continuing to think green by installing forty solar walkway lights on the campus. The standalone solar lights are located behind the Health Sciences Building, MARC, the Computer Center, the RFK Library and in front of the dormitories to improve exterior lighting and safety on campus.

Island Sustainability Energy Technician Antonio Endaya said, "We want to provide not only alternative power for lighting the campus but also awareness so that the students will see that the university is serious in pursuing renewable power."

Endaya says the walkway lights are in addition to the solar lights already installed at the dean's circle and behind the nursing building.
