Guam - Earlier this week the Guam Federation of Teachers filed three unfair labor practices complaints against the Guam Education Board: for the removal of GFT president Matt Rector from the board, for refusing to negotiate with the union until the GFT provided their exclusive rights to bargain, and for the suspension of collective bargaining with the GFT.
Rector said, "We're hoping that the governor will live up to his word and enforce the law the laws obeyed and everybody's operating under the same plate."
According to GEB member Barry Mead, the GFT and GEB are scheduled to begin contract negotiations tonight at 6:30pm in the Department of Education Conference Room in Hagatna.
