Oceanview Middle School is celebrating a major turnaround—earning an “A” rating on its latest Public Health inspection. The campus received a 10/A score, a significant improvement from last year’s 22/C rating.
School leaders say the milestone reflects months of focused effort to create a safer, cleaner and healthier environment for students and staff. Principal Dr. Rose Castro calls the grade more than just a letter—saying it represents unity, accountability and a shared belief that students deserve the very best place to learn and grow.
The school credits the Guam Department of Education's Håya Maintenance Team, faculty and staff, parents and students, Andersen Air Force Base’s 36th Medical Group, and the mayors’ offices of Hagåt, Humåtak and Santa Rita—along with Agat community church—for helping make the improvement possible.
