Guam - Your health records soon will be connected to doctors throughout Guam and the nation, ensuring you get the best medical care wherever you are. Guam's first Health Information Exchange was launched by Governor Eddie Calvo. The program will be used to exchange certified electronic health records for island patients between local, regional, and national doctors and health institutions.

Governor Calvo said that "this is the future of healthcare, and Guam is ahead of several states and territories when it comes to this."

Doctors and healthcare providers will receive federal funding incentives to join the exchange. More than $21 million is available for the incentive program. Guam memorial hospital will get an additional $5 million in federal incentive funds as a part of this program.
