Guam - There's more to blame for the closure of the Hagatna Pool than a corroded pipe. Parks and Recreations administrator Joe Mendiola says a pipe burst because the filters were clogged with sand and gravel. Mendiola estimates that the repair will cost more than ten thousand dollars and does not know where funding will come from.

The Dededo Pool is still available for patrons as the date for the Agana Pool's reopening is still unknown.
