Kings won't appeal denial of food services protest
by Mindy Aguon
Guam - Kings Restaurant announced today that it will not appeal the Department of Education's denial of the protest the company filed over a food services contract for the 2011-2012 school year. Kings president Freddy Van Dox in a statement released today believes the company's protest was justified and had merit, but said an appeal and possible legal challenge would be disruptive to the school lunch program.
Kings has been providing food services to DOE for the last nine years and believes holding off on any further protest is in the best interest of the community and prevent any negative impact on students and parents.
