Guam - Fire Chief Nominee Raymond Perez has until next week to get the necessary documents to the Legislative Public Safety Committee if he intends to go before lawmakers for a confirmation hearing later this month. Oversight Chair Senator Adolpho Palacios says Perez has until next Wednesday to submit specific documents about his qualifications.

The following day the committee will meet to determine if the information submitted is sufficient to proceed with the confirmation hearing which is scheduled for the 23rd.

Concerns have been raised that Perez doesn't meet all of the qualifications for the fire chief position.
