Bordallo talks about debt increase
Guam - After days of being unable to reach a compromise, an agreement has finally been reached between President Barack Obama and congressional leaders to increase the national debt limit and address reducing the deficit long term. The House of Representatives passed an agreement that Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo says "finds common ground to avoid a fiscal crisis and provides a framework to address our national debt."
Bordallo adding "the proposal creates a joint, bipartisan congressional committee that would recommend to Congress long-term spending cuts and tax reforms before the end of the year."
The Senate will consider the bill tomorrow.
