Guam - Governor Eddie Calvo signed a proclamation declaring July 31 to August 6 as Corrections Week. Calvo recognized the uniformed and civilian staff at the Department of Corrections for doing their part to safe guard the community as well provide a peace of mind for residents.

DepCor Director Jose San Agustin told KUAM News, "For the men and women of the department correction thank you for the great job you all been doing for the past years. This is testament for all the hard work that you have devoted to the department."

Corrections Week kicks off with a Eucharistic Mass at the Toto Church at 9:30am this Sunday. The department is also hosting an open house for the Mangilao prison next week.
