Guam - After winning the food services contract for the Department of Education, Sodexo Services Guam is ready to feed the thousands of school students who will start classes next Tuesday. Sodexo Director of Business Development Joseph Majka says they are excited to have been selected as doe's food contractor and already have executive chefs working with the local community to develop menu items for breakfast, lunch, and snacks.

He explained, "We're just very delighted to be here; we've got 33 schools about ready to go in a week and there will be some things coming up over the next few weeks as we start ramping up for the opening on the 9th and four weeks later the full blown menu after Labor Day…we've got the talent and the ability to come on board and maybe make a difference to the island."

Sodexo proposes that they can increase student participation by implementing a student ID system and amping up marketing. Sodexo caters to 80 countries and 400 school districts worldwide.
