Guam - Safety concerns in the island's public school system are being addressed by the Lieutenant Governor's Beautification Task Force. According to Agana Heights Elementary School principal Dr. Eva San Nicolas, after an inspection of her campus, officials with the Guam Power Authority were able to come by the school to cut down large branches that posed a huge safety concern to students.
"We're very grateful that this happened so that our playground was ready now for the students to come back on campus and we are assured that our campus is now safe and conducive for our children," said San Nicolas. She adds efforts are underway to block-off the ponding basin on the school grounds so students do not enter the area.
