Guam - While most island residents were celebrating Liberation Day yesterday, the Guam Memorial Hospital underwent another survey, this time from five representatives from the College of American Pathology, which surveyed the hospital's medical laboratory.  GMH Acting Administrator Rey Vega says the surveys are conducted every two years and an exit interview today had positive findings.

Vega admits though that surveyors did mention that the hospital will receive citations for some areas where the facility was found to be deficient particularly with regard to policies and procedures. Vega says the concerns however are not serious enough to impact the certification.

A formal report is expected in the next few weeks.
