Guam - Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo's office has voiced concern over requests by U.S. Department of Transportation air carriers to temporarily reduce service to Hanena International Airport in Japan. In so doing, she cites inconsistencies with the original terms of the Open Skies agreement established in 2009 between the United States and Japan.

Bordallo requested that the DOT reconsider applications for U.S. carriers to fly routes between Guam and Haneda to enhance the tourism industry.
