Flight 891 experienced mechanical problems
Guam - Continental Airlines Flight 891 that was rerouted earlier today is back in the air and en-route to Manila, Philippines. According to Guam International Airport Authority Spokesperson Rolenda Faasuamalie CO891 departed at 8:10 this morning, but shortly after the pilot contacted GIAA ramp control to relay the aircraft was having problems.
United/Continental Airlines Director of Corporate Communications for Asia Pacific Koji Nagata said the pilot decided to return to Guam due to mechanical issues and landed safely at 9:49am.
Koji added mechanics worked on the issue and the flight left Guam for Manila at 12:09 this afternoon. A total of 116 people were on board.
