Guam - There are more legal troubles for Younex, as the company's landlord has pursued a lawsuit to recover more than $26,000 owed in rent. Oxford properties and finance limited through ASPAC Finance Company filed suit in the Superior Court against Younex for breaching a three-year lease agreement for a one-acre lot the company utilizes in Tamuning for its Emerald Verace offices.
According to court documents, the lease expires at the end of this month and Younex has defaulted in paying the monthly rent since late last year. The parties, however, have since been able to reach a settlement as Younex has agreed to pay what is owed in full. The company is still waiting for a Supreme Court decision in the pending high-rise condominium project case to determine if procedures were followed when they were granted a zone variance by the Guam Land Use Commission.
