AG imposes deadline for ARRA paperwork
by Nick Delgado
Guam - With the clock ticking for the Government of Guam to use it or lose it and to prevent a last-minute rush of paperwork to the Attorney General's Office, AG Lenny Rapadas has informed Adelup of deadlines he's imposing to allow ample time to review the pending stimulus procurement transactions. The first deadline is next Friday for all ARRA procurement solicitations and documents valued at a half-million or more to be submitted to the AG's Office.
The next deadline is August 15 for all other ARRA contracts or procurement documents. The Guam OPA in a report released Tuesday noted that out of the $98 million in ARRA funding awarded in 2009, only $15 million has been expended so far.
If the stimulus grant money is not obligated by September 30, the money will be returned to the feds.
