Guam - Members of the Senate Armed Services Committee are sharpening their knives. Come tomorrow they'll be slicing away at the Fiscal 2012 Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Budget.  Just this week during a markup hearing on the measure, a senate panel voted to cut $1.3 billion from President Barack Obama's 2012 budget request for military construction.

Most of those cuts reportedly were in overseas construction. Senator Mark Kirk of Illinois called the military construction cuts tough decisions in Guam, Bahrain and Germany, where buildup plans on the table.

Again, additional cuts are expected when the full committee meets Friday, Guam time.
