Dededo baseball fields ready for tournament
Guam - It seems it will be game on at the baseball fields in Dededo set for use in an international Little League tournament in July. Guam Little League Association President Steven Guerrero says they are just putting the finishing touches on the two fields.
"It's kind of hard on the grass when its wet but as you can see that field yonder is pretty much ready to go this field here we have a little problem with seepage when it rains it stay on top but hopefully with the roller it can make it so the water can percolate down in the ground," he told KUAM News.
Ten Little League teams are scheduled to compete in the tournament from all over the region, including Singapore, Taiwan, the Philippines, the CNMI, and New Zealand. Guerrero says it is only due to donations and volunteer labor that the fields are ready in time.
