Sablan v. GLUC going before Supreme Court
by Mindy Aguon
Guam - A case over whether the Government of Guam gave adequate notice before approving a zone variance for the construction of several high-rise condominiums in Tamuning will be up for arguments in Guam's Supreme Court this week. Tamuning resident Mary Ann Sablan won her case against the Guam Land Use Commission after the court found that residents were notified of the hearings for Younex's plans to construct the Emerald Verace Condos.
Younex filed a motion to intervene in the case and the GLUC appealed the judge's decision leaving the matter in the hands of Guam's appellate court. A hearing is scheduled for this Wednesday.
