Guam - Closing arguments are expected to be presented on Wednesday when the jury trial of Anthony C. Flores resumes. Flores is charged with the murder of Sherri Lea Taylor, who was brutally beaten in her room at the Hamilton Hotel in November 1999. Today the defense presented their case to jurors with the testimony of forensic pathologist Dr. Joseph Cohen who suggested Taylor died from a failed kidney and a bad liver due to excessive alcohol abuse.

The prosecution, during the trial, called the medical examiner to testify that Taylor died from internal bleeding that was caused by blunt force trauma.

The defense also read out the testimony of Ryan Gebhart, who testified in the original trial but cannot be located. The trial is expected to resume tomorrow with closing arguments, jury instructions and then deliberations.
