GW parents, teachers want status quo
by Nick Delgado
Guam - George Washington High School teachers got a chance today to voice their concerns about the overcrowding problem at the Mangilao campus. School administrators have been conducting a series of stakeholder meetings educating the community about the options the Department of Education has come up with to alleviate the overcrowding there.
JROTC instructor Captain Joseph Santos shared the same argument that parents did Thursday that they want the status quo - that option would require the department to obtain an additional $400,000. "For the sake of my sanity, I like the option which is status quo with the caveat that we put those people that are in the powers to be up against the corner and tell them these things need to happen on a permanent basis."
If you missed this week's stakeholder meetings, GW staff will be hosting one more next week Monday at the Mangilao campus at 6pm.
