Guam - Governor's Chief Education Advisor Vincent Leon Guerrero toured several schools this afternoon along with Department of Education Facilities and Maintenance Manager Billy Cruz, hoping to provide some assistance in addressing safety concerns. Leon Guerrero says DOE has provided a punch list of about 18 schools that have similar problems such as ponding basins and tree's that pose a hazard to students.

"From that point, we'll be asking other agencies to provide assistance such as bucket trucks if needed, such as manpower, such as equipment, operators but I need to get a first hand look at exactly what there needs are," Cruz told KUAM News.

Leon Guerrero says the Administration plans on addressing the concerns in the schools using the existing government equipment and manpower.
