Guam - In a letter to Senator Judi Guthertz, Secretary of the Navy Jackalynne Pfannensteil said she was well aware of concerns and alternatives offered by Senate Armed Services Committee members Carl Levin, John McCain and Jim Webb. Pfannensteil said, however, it would be speculative to forecast their impact on the buildup as currently planned.

She added the Department of the Navy will continue to work with Congress to address their concerns and secure necessary funds to support construction on Guam.
